Childline Gauteng is registered with SARS as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) which permits the issuance of a Section 18A certificate for tax benefits.
The organisation (est. 1987) is a Not for Profit Company (NPC) and provide support to many children and their families (400 000 beneficiaries per annum) whose human rights have been compromised; and are beset with violent, psycho-social and economic challenges.
Research is clear that early intervention, prevention, parenting, life skills and school programmes are the most effective methods of reducing problematic child/family related issues. Childline’s theory of change have been pioneering this methodology for 32 years and our focus is on the healing of children to remove their emotional barriers; thus enabling them to make maximum use of available opportunities and develop optimally to make a meaningful contribution to themselves and society.
